How do you get ride of cradle cap?

I also put the baby oil on my son's head when he got just a bit of cradle cap and then lightly combed it. At first it seemed to make it worse, as it was loosening it up, but I kept at it daily and in about a week it was gone. How do you get ride of cradle cap?
My son had really thick scaly cradle cap for months. When I took him in to the stylists for his first haircut she mentioned that it might cause hair loss if I just left it alone. So I went home and researched on the internet...

I ended up using olive oil and rubbing it gently onto his head and letting it sit for ten minutes. Then I took a fine tooth comb and very very gently and carefully combed the pieces out. Then he had a bath, I had to shampoo twice!

I did this treatment two days in a row and my son's cradle cap is gone completely. Just remember babies have very sensitive skin so be careful to be very very gentle. How do you get ride of cradle cap?
I just used the soft scrub pad the hospital gave me and scrubbed babies head with baby oil every night in her bath, it was gone in no time :) I also picked at it when I would see it (sounds gross I know, but as a new mom the last thing I wanted was flakes on my beautiful babies head!!). Anyway the baby oil worked great once I started using it!

Good luck :)

hi you can buy some special shampoo for it. or u can use baby oil. just massage it on babys head everyday and it will just come away with a soft brush.. my little 1 suffered from that and baby oil worked alot better than the shampoo did... :)
My son had pretty bad cradle cap. I rub baby oil on his head then combed it out. It worked very well. I did it for a few days and it was gone after that.
Apply a small amount of baby oil to baby's head and brush his or her hair with a baby hair brush. Repeat daily until gone.
lightly scrub babies head in the bath with baby oil and a soft brush, rinse well and pat dry.
Olive oil
