Does anyone know why the government got ride of the tax credits for energy saving purchases?

My tax guy told me that 2007 was the last year for the tax credit you can get for buying energy friendly products.Does anyone know why the government got ride of the tax credits for energy saving purchases?
This was only a temporary credit, but Americans are unaware that Tax Law Changes can be brought about by the voice of the People.





Recently, there was a temporary fix to the AMT and it was because people called their Legislators and Representatives, and let them know this was not acceptable.





This is something else, we as a People can change! Call your Congress person and State Reps and let them know you want to see a Permanent Energy Credit for those who are working toward cleaner solutions, and this should carry to the State levels as well!
