How can i get ride of a sore throat ?

Most sore throats are self limiting, 85% being viral. Take plenty of cool fluids, use paracetamol for fever and if it is very uncomfortable you can try Diflam or chloraseptic sprays. Avoid salt water or aspirin gargles. How can i get ride of a sore throat ?
Gargle warm salty water and take lozenges like Strepsils. Go to your doctor and just check it isnt an infection cos this means you will need antibiotics to get rid of it completely.

If you want a quick fix get some anaesthetic throat spray (lidocaine) which numbs your throat for a bit. You get a fairly decent one at Boots but its pretty costly. How can i get ride of a sore throat ?
gargle with a solution of salt and warm water every 2 hours. When gargling must tilt head back so you can feel the water/salt solution on the very back of your mouth/throat.

Buy some sore throat lozenges.
Sing from the diaphragm ;-)
Gargle with a strong medicine tasting mouth wash that has alcohol content like Listerine.

When gargling you must gag somewhat on the liquid so that it splashes the infected area deep in your throat.

Yeah it works it just feels awful doing it.
Providing it's not tonsillitis, (where you will need to get antibiotics from the doctors to treat it), and it is just a sore throat then gargle with soluble aspirin or paracetamol! A doctor told me this years ago and it really does work. You will have to gargle for a good few minutes with the mixture and the relief is usually quick depending on how potent the solution is - if you dissolve three aspirin in a small amount of water and then gargle then the fragments of the tablets cling onto the throat and are stronger and therefore more efficient then a weak solution! Once the fragments are clinging on your throaty bits they then do what they are best at which is to deliver pain relief - straight to the cause of the discomfort - I would also take a couple of painkillers too, (obviously don't swallow the gargling mixture or you would probably end up overdosing)!!!

I suffer from constant sore throats and tonsillitis and this really works providing you let the water mixture swish around the back of the throat - this means nearly swallowing but not quite with your head tilted right back - you will probably gag quite a few times but just spit out and go for it again!
An ear-nose-throat doc gave me this recipe a few years back:1 teaspoon baking soda, with 1 tablespoon non-iodized salt, disslove in 1 quart water. Use a bulb syringe to blast the solution up each nostril. You'll be amazed at all the snot %26amp; boogers %26amp; crap that comes out.
