Gonna assume you're in Florida, we've got a large and growing naturalized population of iguanas...
Since they're an invasive exotic species, there's really no regulations on this...
You can try catching them by hand... very difficult, and if you do manage to grab one, be wearing thick leather gloves, long sleeves, jeans, etc... they will whip at you with their tail, bite, and claw in self-defense... this is difficult on many levels... not only are wild iguanas cautious when approached, but they also get the idea after a time or two of being chased, that you are, indeed, out to get them, and they will run when they see you.
You could try a live trap... bait may be difficult... if you can figure out what they're eating most in your yard, that may work... hibiscuses might work... banana might work... it's hard to tell what would work for bait for an iguana...
Tried and true, but illegal within city limits: set your .22 on the back porch and be ready to grab it when you see an iguana... remember, iguanas are supposed to be quite tasty.
Not willing to try any of these, or they're not working for you? Well, you may be able to get your local animal control to come out and help, or a private wildlife removal company... but other than getting rid of all the plants and greenery in your yard, these are really your only options.HOW DO YOU GET RIDE OF IGUANAS IN YOUR BACKYARD THAT AREN'T YOUR THEY ARE JUS THERE BASICALLY?
Well if you are in San Diego, Ya bring um to me I would love to have them. Whose ever they are, just lets them run huh? bring them inside and post a found add, or pet store. But if you are here I would love to have them
