How can I get ride of depression?

You need to talk to your primary care doctor, and tell him exactly how you are feeling. Tell him what brings on the depression, your daily routine, what makes you feel better, how much sleep and exercise you are getting, your diet, any recent stresses in your life, etc. Depending on the severity of your stress, he might prescribe a medication, or send you to a psychiatrist for medication counseling. There is nothing wrong with taking medication. All anti-depressant medication is designed to help restore a normal balance of serotonin or norepinephrine in your system -- in other words, most depression is caused by an IMBALANCE in your system which needs to be corrected. If you don't like to take medications, there are natural remedies as well. EXERCISE. This is good for you. Force yourself to stay active and do things you enjoy -- listen to music, go shopping, spend time with friends, do things which you used to do before you were depressed, which you enjoy. I can't stress enough the importance of exercise and good diet. Exercise helps you sleep better, restores your appetite to normal levels, and releases natural chemicals in your brain which help maintain a normal balance of serotonin.

The best bet is to see a doctor, and get medication. If this has gone on for a long time and is chronic in nature you need help. For short term help, have regular hours, eat well, get excercise and fresh air. Limit caffeine and alcohol.Oh, and don't take naps during the day. This will help you establish regular sleeping habits which are essential to being more positive and energetic. How can I get ride of depression?

pray always... think of happy thoughts and don't take life or problems too seriously...always keep in mind that others are in a much worse situation than you, like those who are in jail.
