Unlike typical pop-ups (stopped with available blockers) 3rd party cookies are entirely different critters. When PC's (personal confusers) misbehave, like pop-up's, going to unrequested sites, goofy warnings, etc.; one step to help reduce annoying pop-ups %26amp; unrequested websites from being displayed on your machine is to

TURN OFF 3rd PARTY COOKIES.

INTERNET EXPLORER: Tools%26gt; Internet Options%26gt; Privacy%26gt; Advanced: here check 'Override automatic....'; 'Allow session cookies'; 'Allow 1st party cookies'; %26amp; 'Block 3rd Party Cookies'.

FIREFOX: Tools%26gt; Options%26gt; Privacy: here UN-CHECK 'Accept 3rd Party cookies'

OPERA, et al: not sure, check under 'options' for this.

Some of the current malware originates as a pop-up, but when you click the 'X' or 'cancel' (thinking to close the window) it does the opposite %26amp; installs the malware. Known as 'Click-jacking' (UI directing) where a malicious action, hidden behind a browser display, is actually what your actions (clicking, viewing, link threading, etc.) performs.

These exploits have been especially focused on the site 'My Space'.

Because of inherent architecture of the Internet (notably 'Flash' scripting) these vulnerabilities are readily exploited in Internet Explorer, and until fixes are made available throughout the Security Community, it is now imperative that you use Firefox WITH the 'NoScript' add-on, which will prevent ';Click-jacking'.

For a somewhat detailed (but not overly tekky) explanation of all these 'Click-jacking' effects (and they are scary!) go to

Then, you'll have to ERADICATE MALWARE with Spybot, Ad Aware, and all available trusted cleaners %26amp; Anti-virus software, and suggested

TOOLS FOR SPECIFIC INFECTIONS listed from other posts in this forum.

Note: some current 'rouge' malware will undo this change, so you might have to redo this step after malware has been eliminated.

Tell your friends to do these steps BEFORE they get infected.

Have nearly ad-free pages when surfing; use Firefox with these add-ons:

Flashblock: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox鈥?/a>

Add block plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox鈥?/a>My system has a virus on it were it pops up the internet with ads and i cant get ride of it please help.?
Nice post, if that don't work, grab spybot search and destroy, that will clear up spyware, which I believe are causing the pop-ups.
