They will not get rid of Melo. He just needs to step it up. He doesn't play of defense he thinks that is his time to rest. He doesn't go after the boards. When he gets the ball all he cares about is scoring, not trying to find the open man. If he wants to be considered one of the greats when his career is over he better start crashing the boards and stepping up his defense. Russell, Jordan, Bird, Magic all of them did it and they are in a class of their own. Now I'm not saying the Melo is them, he is no where near their class. But he needs to be an all around player and maybe one day he will be in the group as the other greats in the game. Are the Nuggets not being fair to Melo or are they trying to get ride of him and keep Iverson?
I don't think it is possible for the Nuggets to get rid of Anthony. He is much younger and will be the future of the Nuggets and of this league. By the time his career is over (barring injuries) he will be the second best player of his time (behind King James). The Nugs just can't drop himAre the Nuggets not being fair to Melo or are they trying to get ride of him and keep Iverson?
In the Nba it comes down to money. They will not get rid of neither because of the money they generate. Melo is definitely shoot first but that is what his job is. Iverson is the playmaker and Melo is the scorer. They are still adjusting right now. The other thing is Melo is still young, he will learn the game in time. Iverson should know that a become the leader of that team because he is the veteran.
Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony are going to learn how to play together and eventually bring a championship to Denver.
